It turns out a week in Dorset was exactly what I needed.

Seven days of sunshine, crystal-clear blue seas, an amazing invitation to go sailing with friends (which I absolutely loved!), and a grand total of 79 km of hiking. Safe to say I've come back with a full camera roll, a clear head, and plenty of inspiration.

Spending a week exploring Dorset reminded me why I specialise in tourism. The best travel experiences aren't just about beautiful places – they're about the stories, emotions and little details that stay with us long after we've returned home. That's what I aim to preserve when I translate and localise tourism content for English and German audiences, helping brands inspire travellers before they've even packed their bags.

Now it's time to swap coastal paths for client projects. I'm back at my desk, catching up with ongoing work and looking forward to starting some exciting new projects.

If you've been waiting to get in touch about an English–German translation, localisation or transcreation project, my inbox is open again.

What was the highlight of your summer so far?
