Over the last three months, I didn’t just take a course. I reset how I run my business – properly.

Since September, I’ve been part of an intensive business bootcamp with just under 70 hours of live sessions. Not bite-sized tips. Not vague inspiration. Real work on the things that actually shape a service-based business day to day.

We covered the full picture:

Marketing that actually makes sense
Not “be everywhere” advice, but clear thinking around positioning, messaging and visibility. Why certain content attracts the right clients and other content just fills space. How to talk about your work in a way that sounds human, not like a brochure.

Sales that don’t make you cringe
No pushy scripts. No awkward tactics. Instead, practical ways to sell based on clarity, confidence and boundaries. Sales as a conversation, not a performance. That alone was worth the time.

Systems that don’t rely on memory and Post-it notes
This was a big one for me. Looking honestly at how things run behind the scenes, where time leaks happen, and how to build systems that support the business instead of adding more admin. Less chaos. More calm.

Strategy that looks beyond next week
Zooming out was uncomfortable at times – but necessary. Planning properly, setting priorities, and making decisions that support where the business is heading, not just what feels urgent right now.

What made the biggest difference was how hands-on it all was.
This wasn’t passive learning. It was practical and challenging – in a good way. The work that makes you rethink habits you didn’t even realise you had.

And then there was the coaching support. The advice never stayed theoretical. It was grounded, honest and realistic. Real feedback with clear examples. Space to ask questions without feeling silly. Support that meets you where you actually are, not where a textbook assumes you should be.

A huge thank you to the Skills Blueprint for creating a programme that goes far beyond “motivation” and straight into real business development. I can already see the impact in how I work, how I plan my time, and how I prioritise what matters.

I met smart business owners who asked good questions and shared openly. These are connections that won't end when the course finishes. I’m really looking forward to keeping in touch and seeing where future conversations and collaborations might lead.
