July flew by in a blur of work, sunshine and a few unexpected wins.

Alongside some interesting language projects, I made the most of the summer whenever I could. The recent heatwaves meant swapping evening walks for early morning hikes, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the month. Cooler air, quieter trails and a great way to clear my head before starting work. And of course: An amazing visit to the Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show!

Giving back to the local community was another highlight. I spent a day volunteering at a regional bowls event for our local sports club, helping to keep players and spectators fuelled by selling food and refreshments.

On the bowling front, I'm delighted to have reached not one, but two semi-finals in different competitions. Fingers crossed there are a few more good matches to come!

To round off the month, I attended the Skills Blueprint Summer Social at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Lincoln. It was brilliant to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and be reminded how valuable it is to step away from the desk and spend time with other business owners.

Here's to August – more exciting projects, hopefully slightly cooler weather, and seeing where the next few weeks take me.

How was your July? What was your highlight of the month?
