Paid Client Training - The Norm?

I've just finished the annual training sessions I was required to do for a client, and I got paid for my time!

This got me thinking: Is this now standard practice for language specialists and freelancers when working with clients? (Or a rare occurrence?)

It's great to see clients investing in their freelance partners in this way. It shows that they are serious about quality and ensuring that everyone works to the same standards.
