If there was one thing today's Summer Social wasn't, it was quiet. Around 80 business owners and professionals in one room can only mean one thing – plenty of conversations, plenty of ideas and just the right amount of coffee-fuelled networking!

The DoubleTree by Hilton was buzzing from start to finish. It was the event where you arrive knowing a few people and leave having met plenty more.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the whole day such a success. It was great to listen to the workshops led by Tommy Atkins, Claire Lockey and Eleanor Bryan. Each session offered something different, but they all had one thing in common – practical ideas that you can actually use.

The SweetMOTION (speed) networking session was the perfect way to get connected. It was relaxed, welcoming and full of interesting conversations. Proof that networking doesn't have to mean awkwardly clutching a cup of coffee while pretending to read everyone's name badge!

I left the event with fresh ideas, new connections and a reminder of how supportive the Lincoln business community really is.
